Ours is a simple story, made of land, hard work, and love. We were born in Mussomeli, in the heart of Sicily, and we carry on a family tradition rooted in the past but confidently looking to the future. This is how Tenuta Rooster was born, a new family-run business with well-defined production values.

Our
history
It all began in 1967, when our grandparents, Salvatore Piazza and Concetta Mistretta, with the courage of those who dream big, bought a small farm in the Polizzello area. With few means, but a lot of determination, they started a sheep farming business. They were hard years, but full of hope. Years in which they worked from dawn to dusk, with the scent of hay and the sound of the sheep's bells marking the days. A few years later, helped by their sons Biagio, Totuccio and Alessandro, to whom they had passed on the passion for the land, they developed the company thanks to the introduction of mechanical agricultural processing. With them came the first innovations: tractors, combine harvesters, the desire to grow. Thus, step by step, the company became one of the most modern in Sicily. In 1992, the Cooperativa San Giuseppe 92 was also founded, one of the first agromechanical cooperatives in the region. Today, the farm continues to work respecting of ancient family traditions, but with an ever-present eye for innovation.
